Today our journey of theOngoingHistory?:fromShanghaiToMilano? is with Pavilion Mexico! The pavilion in Expo2010 was a land of fantasy built with "Kites". The name for kite came from a Nahuatl word "Papalotl" which means "Butterfly". The star of the Mexico Pavilion was the self-portrait of the country's most famous painter Frida Kahlo whose work was remembered for its pain and passion and its intense, vibrant colors.
In joining Expo2015, Mexico seeks to show visitors the wealth of its natural resources and biodiversity, and its commitment to finding solutions for a world free from hunger, malnutrition and unsustainable food production practices. It also seeks to present its contribution to the global production of a large number of foods with healing properties.
