Today our journey of ?theOngoingHistory:fromShanghaiToMilano? is with Pavilion Malaysia! The pavilion in Expo2010 was composed of two highly turned-up pitched roofs, making the pavilion look like an elegant and energetic wooden boat coming back from a long trip. The elevator inside was designed in the shape of Twin Tower in KLCC. Through its exhibition, Malaysian advocated the concept “Harmonious Malaysia is people-oriented and action first” so as to boost national solidarity and peace development.
This time, Malaysia’s theme of participation is designed to harmonize with the efforts of Expo2015 in addressing the complex and universal question of food, from an historical, cultural, anthropological, medical, technical, scientific, economic and ecological perspective. The architectural design draws inspiration from the humble rainforest seed, a symbol of growth, signifying a beginning of a journey, and the potential within.
